NO MORE BLUES - The new album by LILY DIOR
Known as one of the most extraordinary vocalists from Australia, with countless performances everywhere from New York to New Zealand, Japan to Singapore, London to Hong Kong, Lily Dior releases her first album entirely produced in Italy. For this occasion, the eclectic jazz, soul, funk interpreter revisits some of the greatest international jazz standards chosen from the repertoires of Gershwin, Hamilton, Porter, Marks, Garner, and even Jobim with the track "Chega de Saudade," which, in its English version "No More Blues," gives the album its title.
The project is the result of a collaboration with the quartet led by bassist Marco Marzola, who, though Italian, is now firmly settled in London, serving as the link between the singer, also an adoptive Londoner, and the beautiful country of Italy. Alongside Marco Marzola are Nico Menci on piano, Lele Barbieri on drums, and Michele Vignali on saxophone.
